 Here is an example creating bond1 by cobining eth0 and eth1

 

[root@mylin ~]# cat  /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-bond0

DEVICE=bond0

IPADDR=10.20.15.154

NETMASK=255.255.254.0

GATEWAY=10.20.15.1

MTU=1400

ONBOOT=yes

TYPE=Ethernet

 

 

 

[root@mylin ~]# cat /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0

DEVICE=eth0

MASTER=bond0

SLAVE=yes

ONBOOT=yes

TYPE=Ethernet

 

 

 

[root@mylin ~]# cat /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth1

DEVICE=eth1

MASTER=bond0

SLAVE=yes

ONBOOT=yes

TYPE=Ethernet

 

 

[root@mylin ~]# cat /etc/sysconfig/network

NETWORKING=yes

HOSTNAME=mylin

 

 

 

 

[root@mylin ~]# cat /etc/modprobe.conf

alias eth0 bnx2

alias eth1 bnx2

alias scsi_hostadapter qla2xxx

alias scsi_hostadapter1 megaraid_sas

alias scsi_hostadapter2 ata_piix

alias scsi_hostadapter3 qla2400

alias usb-controller ehci-hcd

alias usb-controller1 uhci-hcd

alias net-pf-10 off

alias bond0 bonding

options bond0 mode=balance-alb miimon=1000
