Nagios is very good, free monitoring tool, required linux.

 

 

http://172.16.10.10/nagios/

 

We may disable authorization so you will not be asked to enter

username and password to get to the web page…..

 

 

Configuration directory for Nagios is /etc/nagios/:

 

 

To add service edit this file services.cfg;

To add host edit this one hosts.cfg;

To add contact edit this one contacts.cfg;

 

 

After you edit config file you have to restart nagios by entering this line to stop server:

/etc/init.d/nagios stop;

 

 

Enter this one to bring nagios up:

/etc/init.d/nagios start;

 

 

 

Nagios will start up automatically if we restart linux.
