Careers at VMgenie

VMgenie is built and operated by the Netquirk team. The roles below are the seats we are actively hiring to fill on the panel, agent and support side of the product. If you would like to apply, the How to apply section has the email address and the information to include in your message.

Open roles

Site Reliability Engineer

Remote (EU)

Operate the VMgenie hosted service end-to-end: keep the physical servers, agents and panel control plane healthy across our EU data centres, own the monitoring and on-call rotation, and turn production incidents into durable automation. You will work closely with the agent team on capacity, with the panel team on the deployment pipeline, and with support on the questions that arrive when something is on fire.

Full-Stack Engineer (Panel & Agent)

Hybrid — London

Build features that span the VMgenie web panel and the agent on every physical server: provisioning flows, template sync, IPv4 and IPv6 networking views, and the JSON API at /api/v1 that backs them all. You are comfortable moving between a Python or Go back end, a small JavaScript front end, and the Linux tooling on a server, and you like the fact that the same change can ship to the panel and to every agent on every server.

Support Engineer (Virtual Servers)

Remote (UK & EU)

Help customers and prospects run their VMgenie panels — answer the email queue for your shift, reproduce issues against your own test panel, and write the answers that turn into the FAQ and the docs. You are the person who reads every bug report carefully, asks the next question, and makes sure the customer leaves the conversation with a working server. The support page has the response-time targets and the on-call escalation path.

How to apply

Send a short email to support@vmgenie.com with the role title in the subject line and a CV (or a link to one) attached or linked in the body. Include a paragraph about the VMgenie setup you would most like to work on, and any links to public code, writing, or projects that you think are relevant. The team reads every application and replies to every applicant; the contact page has the response-time targets for incoming email.
